What is the biggest issue in the world? | Zeynep İyigün | TEDxUskudar American Academy Youth

For centuries, humanity has tried to tackle massive global problems; poverty, climate change, inequality. But when we ask ourselves how to take meaningful action, we often feel overwhelmed. In this inspiring talk, Zeynep Iyigün shares how she identified a quiet but powerful issue in her community, lack of economic literacy and co-founded EconoFem, a platform offering free economics education in Turkey. This is not a speech that ends on a vague call to “do something.” It’s a roadmap for transforming your frustration into focused, specific action no matter how small.Because change doesn’t start with the world. It starts with you, a question, and the courage to light the first candle. Zeynep is an 11th grade IB student at Üsküdar American Academy and a prospective economics major. She co-founded EconoFem to merge her interests in economics, politics, and social service. Outside academics, she plays libero on the volleyball team, bassoon in the school orchestra, and contributes to RoarTV through video editing and scriptwriting. Her speech focuses on global challenges and the power of individual action. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
