Unassigned | Nguyễn Thái Hà | TEDxBTEC FPT Hanoi

In “Unassigned,” the speaker challenges the idea that everyone naturally belongs somewhere. They argue that sometimes, the space you need doesn’t exist, so you have to create it yourself. Working in recruitment, a field often viewed as basic and replaceable, the speaker questioned traditional methods and chose to reinvent the role. Instead of cold calls, they built relationships through content, events, and storytelling - treating recruitment more like marketing. Without formal training, they experimented with videos, livestreams, and design, learning through trial and error. Over time, this unconventional path attracted others who felt out of place in traditional systems. The speaker concludes that when you stop trying to fit into predefined boxes and start building your own space, you not only make room for yourself - you create space for others to belong, too. She is currently the CEO of a high-performance recruitment and talent development company, a content creator with over 600,000 followers across platforms, and the author of the book “Job Hunting the Right Way - No Shortcuts Needed”. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
