4 ways to help people love their job | Simon Nash | TEDxSt Helier
‘Work is love made visible’, wrote the Lebanese poet Kahlil Gibran, but if this is true why do so many people hate their jobs? Through story-telling and a meditation on the virtues of craft, care, comradeship and calling, Simon uncovers the beauty in good work and unmasks the role of power relations in stripping labour of love. The talk ends with a rebellious call-to-action for workers and leaders to rediscover ‘life’s inmost secret’ that our work is an expression of our deepest human capacity, to love. Simon Nash is Group MD of the premier employment services business Law At Work. He is an experienced boardroom facilitator, speaker, author and trusted advisor to the boards of local businesses on issues of leadership, people, culture and ethics.
