At just 22, Precious was already raising six children whiles in college as the first generational college student in her entire family. In this talk, she reflects on how hardship became a catalyst for resilience, shaping her journey from survival to becoming a mother of six and a graduate.Her story highlights the idea that resilience is less about endurance and more about transforming challenges into new opportunities. Precious Mmiba Tidogo-Asampoah is a passionate tech enthusiast, network engineering graduate, and the first university graduate in her generation. Raised in a low-income household with no educational background, she overcame immense challenges while supporting her seven younger siblings through school. From selling kenkey to studying Computer Science at university, Precious embodies resilience and purpose. Her journey proves that with determination, dreams can defy circumstance. She now advocates for students from low-income families and young women in tech, inspiring others to rise above self-doubt and hardship. Precious is living proof that no matter where you start, you can do it—and do it well.
