- 17:39Inclusion with Empathy | Priyank Patel | TEDxNH Goel World School YouthIn this inspiring talk, celebrated social entrepreneur Priyank Patel shares his powerful journey of creating NUKKAD—a unique concept that offers dignity, opportunity, and hope to people who have long been excluded from the mainstream. With a deep belief in inclusion with empathy, Patel emphasizes that true transformation cannot be achieved by one individual alone. Instead, it requires society at large to become stakeholders in rebuilding lives.Through stories of resilience and collective action, he highlights how NUKKAD has become more than just a platform—it is a movement where communities come together to support, uplift, and integrate marginalized sections of society. Patel’s mission and vision extend beyond charity; He says overlooking marginalised section of society is actually overlooking the available human resource. This talk is a heartfelt reminder that lasting change is possible when empathy turns into action and when everyone plays a part in shaping a more inclusive world. As an engineering graduate with five years of experience in the IT sector, I discovered my true calling in social development. This realization led me to establish an award-winning chain of socially inclusive cafés in Chhattisgarh, designed to empower marginalized communities, underprivileged youth, and senior citizens.Currently, I am focused on innovating and developing socially inclusive cafés and co-working spaces that go beyond hospitality. These spaces are designed to foster empowerment, inclusivity, and meaningful engagement, while creating sustainable livelihoods for the destitute and underserved.Through my work, I aim to sensitize society about people's rights, enable informed decision-making, and facilitate transformative dialogues that drive systemic change. My mission is to build a sustainable ecosystem of positive social impact—where every voice matters, and everyone thrives.Let’s connect to collaborate on building inclusive solutions for a better tomorrow. - 10:16Creating Community through Music | Jurgis Didžiulis Valencia | TEDxGatewayJurgis Didžiulis demonstrates how to create “exceptional togetherness” through musical play. It's something experienced rather than explained. "Becoming Music" is an exercise in humanity. It’s about how we connect, how we tune in to others, and how we become truly engaged. As Jurgis puts it, “Music is a metaphor for people in flow. But it’s also a fun way of inducing that flow.” Jurgis Didžiulis (aka Jurgis DID) is a Colombian-Lithuanian with a unique talent for bringing people together through the magic of musical co-creation. Part speaker, activist, and performer, he has navigated the intersection of music and social transformation for 20 years with a focus on upgrading culture (beliefs and behaviors) through culture (creative expression). - 14:47Step Up and Stand Out | Rikith Jamalpuri | TEDxYouth@CHIRECWhat does it take to find your voice when failure threatens to silence it? In this talk, Rikith Jamalpuri shares his journey as a teenager discovering the power of public speaking through moments of self-doubt and missteps. With warmth and relatability, he reveals how setbacks became stepping stones toward confidence and influence. His story reminds us that failure is not the end of expression, but the very place where true voice is born—a powerful reflection of what it means to Fail Forward. Rikith is a 12th-grade CBSE student hoping to pursue economics and finance. When he’s not at an MUN strengthening his articulation skills and love for policy, you’ll probably find him appealing to the umpire for an LBW that’s clearly not out! He’s always talking about something, whether it be the new season of Squid Game or his never-ending stories. His friends call him an enthusiastic yapper someone who can go on and on about absolutely nothing. He’s an avid listener, too- the person you go to when you need someone to talk to. He promises he won’t interrupt. As someone with a deep-rooted passion for giving back and a heartfelt love for baking, don’t be surprised to see him near the slums of Madhapur police station distributing his brownies to all the kids he can see. A smile on their face makes his day This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
- 10:14What Do We Get Wrong About Failure? | Sai Akhilesh Palakodeti | TEDxYouth@CHIRECIs failure about falling short—or about never trying at all? In this candid and insightful talk, Sai Akhilesh Palakodeti shares how living with an extra thumb once made him painfully self-conscious, holding him back from opportunities and experiences. Over time, he discovered that our real stories live in an “invisible résumé” shaped not just by successes but by the courage to face what makes us different. His journey is a testament to how we can Fail Forward by redefining failure as inaction, not imperfection. Akhilesh Palakodeti is a Year 2 IBDP student at CHIREC International School where he studies Math, Physics, and Economics. He is deeply passionate about history, politics and sociology. When he’s not losing brain cells from studying chemistry, you can find him reading the Economist magazine, refreshing the CNN website page, or rewatching Modern Family. He is an avid reader, who enjoys high-tension discussions and varying perspectives. Akhilesh represented India as a member of the Indian Debate Squad in 2023 and is the winner and best novice speaker of the International Competition for Young Debaters hosted by the Cambridge Union.
