In this TEDx Talk, the speaker recounts her experience of attending summer camp in Texas and being away from her mother and father for the first time. She explains why emotions associated with negativity, such as fear and anger, are actually meant to help us. However, we often react to negative emotions when it is unnecessary. She cites research on positive and negative thinking to persuade the audience to pay more attention to helpful positive thoughts. Olivia is a primary student in Chongqing, China. She is an active girl who enjoys football, rollerblading and bicycling. Il y sera question d'un roi, de princes, d'un chameau, dans l'Orient du XVIe siècle... Puis d'un écrivain anglais du XVIIIe siècle, de Pasteur et du hasard, de Fleming et de sa découverte de la pénicilline, enfin de ma rencontre effective, pas tout à fait sérendipienne, avec la sérendipité, à l'occasion d'un colloque qui contribua à faire connaître la notion en France. Diplômé de Sciences Po Paris, il est journaliste depuis plus de 30 ans. Il explore les croisements entre savoirs scientifiques et expertises profanes, et s’intéresse à la circulation des concepts dans les champs professionnels. Administrateur du Centre culturel international de Cerisy, il a fondé en 2019 Sérendip’éditions, une maison qui publie des ouvrages à la croisée des disciplines.
