When Communication Becomes Resistance | Alice Sharafyan | TEDxMoskovyanSt
What happens when speaking the truth feels more dangerous than staying silent? Journey from a communications specialist to a frontline voice during wartime, navigating hate speech, targeted attacks, and the emotional cost of telling the truth. This is a story about the power of one voice, the fragility of dignity, and why communication is more than a skill it’s a form of resistance. Born and raised in Armenia, Alice Sharafyan is a communications strategist and youth activist with nearly a decade of experience in public relations, civil society, and human rights. She currently manages PR and communications at the Hayastan All Armenian Fund, leading outreach and diaspora engagement campaigns. Alice started as a photographer and content creator before taking leadership roles in AEGEE-Yerevan. She has organized awareness campaigns and international trainings on democratic participation, gender equality, and media literacy. Alice studied Politics and Governance at the American University of Armenia (Class of 2025) and will pursue a Master’s in Human Rights and Social Justice.
