Il movimento non è solo un atto fisico, ma un linguaggio con cui entriamo in relazione con il mondo.
Nel suo intervento Massimiliano Pau ci ha guidati in una riflessione sorprendente su come il corpo umano, attraverso il gesto motorio, parli, si esprima e si connetta agli altri.
Docente di Bioingegneria e responsabile del Laboratorio di Biomeccanica dell’Università di Cagliari, Pau ha mostrato come ogni movimento racchiuda informazioni sulla nostra identità, sul nostro stato fisico e mentale, e come, grazie alle tecnologie più avanzate, sia oggi possibile leggere e interpretare quei segnali.
Dal mondo clinico allo sport di alto livello, analizzare il modo in cui ci muoviamo significa anche capire come migliorare la qualità della nostra vita.
Il movimento diventa così un mezzo per curare, per ottimizzare le performance, ma soprattutto per comunicare chi siamo, anche quando le parole non bastano.
Massimiliano Pau è docente di Bioingegneria e responsabile del Laboratorio di Biomeccanica ed Ergonomia Industriale presso l’Università di Cagliari. Appassionato di movimento umano in tutte le sue forme, dedica la sua attività di ricerca all’implementazione di tecniche quantitative avanzate per la valutazione di parametri biomeccanici utili a caratterizzare gesti motori semplici e complessi in ambito clinico, sportivo ed ergonomico. Collabora con alcune importanti realtà sportive e cliniche del territorio regionale per fornire supporto alla pianificazione e valutazione di trattamenti riabilitativi e programmi di allenamento.
