If Only We Appreciated Our Siblings More | Kiyoko Dey | TEDxYouth@DAA

Siblings are the longest relationship we'll ever have, but are often complicated. In Kiyoko's reflective TEDxYouth@DAA talk, "If Only We Appreciated Our Siblings More", she sheds insight of the experience of growing up as a younger sister, in a family that is constantly on the move. Through exploring her evolving relationship with her older sister, she questions how much we value our siblings. With research-backed insights, she will delve into sibling dynamics and remind us that it's never too late to strengthen the bond with your sibling. Watch, reflect, and maybe—just maybe—send that text to your brother or sister. Kiyoko Dey is a Junior at Dubai American Academy who has lived in 5 countries, never settling in one place for long. Although she is American, she has never lived in the United States, instead experiencing life as a third culture kid. Constantly moving from place to place has caused her to deeply value her family, and appreciate the short moments in life. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
