The Future Is Here | Sameerah AlDhafar & Reem Alshawan | TEDxAlAnjalNationalSchool
Through line:
“Innovation is moving forward, people are quickly adapting to change without realizing the risks that come with it.
What if one day innovation betrays us?”
I am Sameeeah AlDhafar, a person living in this generation surrounded by constant innovations. I have always had a thought at the back of my mind : “Although sometimes I look forward and get inspired by technological progress, why do I fear it?” And so for that reason, a topic that goes along with navigating and understanding our fear of innovation was a great idea. I’m very keen on spreading a message of importance, especially a message that makes people think and reflect. So hopefully through this speech, people who are just like me or not can immerse themselves to the topic and understand, learn, connect and think from it.Hello, I am Reem Alshawan. As a person, I love reading, writing (especially poetry), and learning new things. Innovation is growing fast and I barely have any time to realize how fast exactly is it progressing—will it one day turn its back on us?
