Orman Fakültesi Toprak İlmi ve Ekoloji Anabilim Dalında Araştırma Görevlisi olarak çalışmaya başlamış olup, aynı anabilim dalında 1992 yılında Yüksek Lisans ve 1997 yılında doktora öğrenimini tamamlamıştır.2018 Yılında İstanbul Üniversitesinin bölünmesi ve Orman Fakültesinin İstanbul Üniversitesi-Cerrahpaşa’ya bağlanması ile kadrosu söz konusu üniversiteye aktarılmıştır. İklim Değişikliği, Toprak İlmi, Ekoloji, Çevre Kirliliği gibi konularda çalışmaktadır.
