유물X현대인 : 시대가 지나도 변하지 않는 삶의 이야기 | Myounghee Jeong | TEDxSNU
박물관 유리 속의 유물이란 단순히 과거의 산물이자 역사의 상징으로 느껴지곤 합니다. 과거인 또한 현재를 살아가는 나와는 상관 없는 사람으로 느껴집니다. 그러나 그런 그의 삶에서 나의 삶과 너무나 닮은 모습을 발견했을 때, 과거인은 내게 반갑고 유의미한 누군가가 됩니다. 나아가 우리 땅 대한민국을 거쳐간 수많은 사람들의 삶에 애틋함을 느끼고 공감하게 되기도 합니다.
여기, 유물에 담긴 이러한 영원한 삶의 맥락을 전달하는 분이 있습니다. 바로 박물관 큐레이터 정명희 님입니다. 정명희 님의 이야기를 통해 만든 이도 명확한 기록도 남지 않은 유물로부터 여러 이야기를 발견해내는 과정에 대해 알아봅시다. 또, 그 사이에서 하나의 맥락을 찾아내어 전시 했던 경험에 대해 들어봅시다. 그 맥락이 단순히 시대와 시대를 결합시키는 것을 넘어서, 과거인과 동시대인 그리고 전시를 함께 감상하는 현대인과 현대인 간의 소중한 연대를 만들어냄을 이해할 수 있을 것입니다.
