Spirituality and humanism to build tomorrow | Dominique Thiry | TEDxRivesdeMoselle

And what if the eternal values of the Church were, in the end, the ones that remain essential if we are to face tomorrow with serenity? Canon Thiry poses this question by reformulating these values using humanist terms that are close to our hearts: friendship, humor, hope, and awareness of our shared past. All of which will enable us to conceive of a tomorrow where alliances take precedence over individualism and simple contracts. Canon Dominique Thiry is a man of faith committed to interfaith dialogue and human encounters. A member of the Chapter of Saint-Etienne's Cathedral in Metz, he advocates openness, listening and sharing as the foundations of a more caring society. His humanist approach invites us to rethink social and spiritual ties in order to build a common future. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
