Leading without a spotlight | Sanvika Sandeep | TEDxSISJ Youth

In her talk, Sanvika Sandeep challenges the belief that leadership must be loud or visible. Through personal stories, she shows how quiet actions, done with care and intention, can leave a lasting impact. Using a rainbow as a metaphor, she highlights how unseen contributions complete the bigger picture. She urges us to value those who lead without a spotlight and to redefine leadership as something that is not only bold but also empathetic, subtle, and powerful in silence. Sanvika Sandeep, Grade 10 topper at DPS Sharjah with a remarkable 99.4% is the proud recipient of the 2024–25 Hamdan Award for Academic Excellence. Now in Grade 11, she serves as Coordinator of the Student Council, balancing leadership with humility. With multiple interschool accolades and top international Olympiad ranks, Sanvika’s TEDx talk challenges conventional ideas of leadership, honoring those who lead with quiet strength, empathy and purpose without seeking the spotlight. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
