Experience cinematography form a surreal lens | Sujay Dahake | TEDxVITPune
To enjoy a movie, one has to go beyond logic and get into the emotional realm of the world. The creator of Pune Film Company and the National Award-winning director Sujay Dahake shows us around the world of surreal cinematography, a language of emotions, dreams, and subconscious narration.Sujay presents us with the idea that we are capable of crossing time, reason, and meaning by watching a movie, and in the process, we can experience the emotions that words cannot express, through movies like Phuntroo and Shyamchi Aai (Best Marathi Film, 71st National Film Awards 2023). His discussion examines how surreal cinema creates feelings that transcend way beyond the screen, such as longing, memory, desire, and grief, through the dream-like and symbolic imagery.Sujay Dahake is known to have revolutionized Marathi cinema in an entirely innovative manner.
