The Multiplicity of The Self | Eva Kotta | TEDxNTUA

How do gender, identity, and sexuality shape the way we interact with ourselves and with one another? In this talk, Eva Kotta explores how social and cultural constructions around femininity, patriarchy, and internalized sexism influence the way we build our individual and collective identities. What narratives have we inherited? What guilt and emotional patterns do we carry often unconsciously? Eva, known as “The Abstract Girl,” has been actively engaging in gender discourse through her social media platform, using her voice to challenge stereotypes. Eva Kotta grew up in Amyntaio, Florina, and studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In recent years, she has been living and working in Athens. Since 2020, she has been engaging in activism on social media through her account @the.abstract.girl, where she shares thoughts and perspectives on society and gender equality. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
