What’s the Value of a Brown or Black Baby? | Geeta Sidhu-Robb | TEDxBerlin Salon

Across the UK, Black and brown infants continue to die at more than twice the rate of white infants - a disparity that has persisted for decades. In this talk, Geeta Sidhu-Robb highlights how medicine built around the “standard” male body continues to fail women and mothers. With a call for structural responsibility, Geeta uses data to invite us to rethink how organisations and societies safeguard women’s health. Geeta Sidhu-Robb is a 5-time winner of the Entrepreneur and Businesswoman of the Year award. She founded the hugely successful Nosh Detox in 2008 after her son was born with severe illnesses she built a formidable reputation for success in the heath and nutrition industry counting Gwyneth Paltrow as one of her first clients. She started coaching successful women CEO’s in 2014. Her clients include Sarah Ferguson, Nadia Swarovski, Gurinder Chadha (Bend it like Beckham) Sam Smith of finnCap (working with her from £15M to an IPO and a £55m exit) and Charity Heads, Nasdaq Chairs, Fortune 500 CEO’s, Country Heads and Celebrities. She counts several women CEO’s with companies over £100M as clients. In 2023 she launched The Womanist Movement. • WCorp which certifies workplaces so women can bring their biology to work; • Green Flag to certify capital that invest in women which was launched at Google and • WCorp Allies to create a certification for Allyship.
