Nel suo talk, Stefania Divertito racconta come la distruzione ambientale sia diventata parte della nostra quotidianità, invisibile e accettata. Partendo da un ricordo d’infanzia segnato dall’inquinamento a Napoli, denuncia la “normalizzazione dell’impossibile” e introduce la parola ecocidio: la distruzione intenzionale della Terra. Mostra come parole e leggi possano cambiare la percezione collettiva — come già avvenuto con amianto e diritti ambientali in Francia, Colombia e alla Corte dell’Aja — e invita tutti a svegliarsi dal sogno elettrico, smettendo di considerare inevitabile ciò che è in realtà un crimine.

Già capo ufficio stampa del Ministero dell’Ambiente in tre governi (Conte1, Conte2 e Draghi), ex portavoce del ministro dell’Ambiente Sergio Costa, collabora con Materia Rinnovabile, Donna Moderna e ha firmato inchieste di giornalismo ambientale per le quali ha ricevuto il premio Cronista dell’anno nel 2004 (tema: uranio impoverito) e il Premio Pasolini nel 2013 (incheista sull'amianto). Ha pubblicato cinque saggi, un fumetto, un romanzo e ha prodotto e realizzato un documentario, sempre su temi ambientali. "Uccidere la Natura" (Il Saggiatore, 2025) è il suo ultimo libro.
