Practice Makes Perfect | Hoang Thuy | TEDxFPTUniversityHCMC

For her, success is not luck, it is the result of practice, patience, and purpose. She showed how modeling taught her that practice is not mere repetition, but preparation, improvement, and turning mistakes into growth. Her mantra “practice makes perfect” embodied the true meaning of going all the way: daring to dream, yet being resilient enough to walk every step and overcome every challenge until the dream comes true. Stepping out as the winner of Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2011, Hoàng Thùy is not only a professional model but also a symbol of breakthrough and transformation in Vietnam's fashion industry. With her professional demeanor and distinctive personality, she has graced the runways of Fashion Weeks in London, New York, Shanghai, and made striking appearances on the covers of prestigious magazines such as ELLE and Harper’s Bazaar. In 2015, Hoàng Thùy was honored by Forbes Vietnam in the Top 30 Under 30, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the fields of creativity and culture. - 17:05Entrepreneurs Don’t Take Risks—They Calculate Them | Tanya Hapsari | TEDxTelkom UniversityThis talk challenges the myth that entrepreneurs are reckless risk-takers, showing instead that their real strength lies in calculation and strategy. Drawing from her first business at 15—a small home bakery that taught her painful lessons about wasted ingredients and hidden costs—Tanya Hapsari introduces her 4Ms framework: Market, Margin, Mitigation, and Momentum. She reveals how this mindset helped her grow into larger ventures in food, fashion, and real estate, where the stakes were far higher. More importantly, she argues that entrepreneurship is not just about business—it’s a way of life. Every choice we make is a transaction with our time, energy, and relationships, and true bravery is not in jumping blindly, but in making informed, calculated decisions that build real growth and resilience. A young entrepreneur and student who’s been crafting her own journey in business since day one. Rich in lessons and fearless in action, she’s proof that age is never a barrier to building something impactful. - 13:28AI & The Future: Shaping Tomorrow Innovation | Gamma Kosala | TEDxTelkom UniversityThis talk explores how Artificial Intelligence can transform public safety by turning ordinary CCTV cameras into intelligent systems that detect threats before they escalate. Through computer vision trained on real-world patterns, AI can identify gang-related activity, unusual group behavior, or suspicious actions in public spaces—not by judging appearances, but by recognizing behavioral cues. Rather than replacing human judgment, these systems provide real-time alerts that empower authorities and communities to act faster while respecting privacy and regulations. The speaker calls for courage, collaboration, and experimentation to harness AI responsibly, envisioning a future where technology helps us not only live more efficiently, but also return home each night with greater peace of mind. A mind quietly crafting breakthroughs in the world of AI. From classrooms to global recognition and he’s been weaving the future. But what makes him stand out isn’t just the research, it’s the story he tells through it.
