Are we alone in the universe? Astrophysicist Giovanni Covone explores the delicate bond between life and the stars, from ancient myths to modern discoveries of exoplanets. He reveals why Earth may be both ordinary and extraordinar— a fragile, unique home in the vast cosmos. Giovanni Covone is an astrophysicist working in the fields of exoplanets and observational cosmology. In particular he is interested in searching Earth-like planets, the study of the astrophysical conditions for life in the Universe and understanding the riddle of dark matter by means of astrophysical observations.He is an active science communicator and an author. He is also interested in the dialogue between physicists and philosophers, in their common effort to understand the external world and our role within as a species.
