Hacking Life: Finding Keys to Locked Doors | Abdullah AlJaber | TEDxRiyadh

In “Hacking Life: Finding Keys to Locked Doors,” I tell the story of how a single family computer sparked a lifelong obsession with technology and how doors that closed along the way pushed me to build my own path. From fixing neighbors’ PCs to studying cybersecurity abroad and responsibly reporting a critical Apple vulnerability, this talk is about relentless curiosity, hard-earned skill, and the quiet sacrifices behind big breakthroughs. I also defend ethical hacking: showing how those same skills can protect people and systems rather than harm them. If you’re facing locked doors, I share the keys I found: persistence, purpose, and courage. A cybersecurity expert and leader with 16 years of experience, member of the Saudi Leadership Council and Board Member of TechArch Cybersecurity Services. He has discovered critical vulnerabilities, participated in international conferences and competitions, and holds prestigious leadership and technical certifications. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
