- 11:50What If Everything Was Fine? | Polina Naboikina | TEDxYouth@FranklinSchoolOfInnovationIn a world of uncertainty, where fear shapes our choices and thinking, it is easy to forget the beginning of progress that has been in our hands all along. The chaos of history has always been the backdrop for innovation and change. The speech challenges the perception of the crisis the world is in and draws your attention to the possibilities and focus on our abilities, calling you to let go of fear, embrace the present and take control of what is happening within our reach. If history has proven anything, it is that nothing can stop a person who wants change and now it is our turn to shape reality. Hi! My name is Polina Naboikina, and I’m a junior at TC Roberson High School and an immigrant from Belarus. My family and I moved to the U.S. in search of freedom and new opportunities, leaving behind the oppression of our homeland. I am incredibly grateful that my parents’ courageous decision has given me the chance to not only build a better future but also stand here today as part of a program as impactful as TEDx. Most importantly, I now have the freedom to speak, grow, and pursue my dreams without fear.
