When Life Has Its Own Plans | Aarzoo Khurana | TEDxHansraj College

Aarzoo Khurana shares her unconventional journey from studying law to becoming a wildlife documentarian, starting with a fluke photograph on Orkut. Her story begins with a serendipitous moment that sparked her passion for photography, which then evolved into a profound mission to document the insides of the forests and bring it to the outer world for conservation. In this talk, Khurana recounts the transformative experiences that cemented her dedication to bridging the gap between people and the wild, even as she faced immense challenges, including a monumental country-wide expedition and conquering deeply personal fears. Aarzoo Khurana is a passionate nature and wildlife photographer and visual storyteller, dedicated to documenting forests to inspire conservation. As the first female to cover all tiger reserves in India and a Sony Alpha Ambassador, her unique journey began with a "fluke" and has involved overcoming significant challenges. Aarzoo is notably known for her ambitious "All Tiger Reserves" (ATR) project, a 6-month-long journey spread across 37,000 kilometres and conquering fears in extreme conditions. Her work aims to bridge the gap between people and the wild, fostering appreciation for nature's delicate balance. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
