Where they fall we Rise | Chris Perkins & Stephen Donoghue | TEDxDoncaster
In one of the most moving moments of the day, Chris Perkins steps onto the TEDx Doncaster stage not to deliver a traditional talk but to share a lifeline. With cellist Stephen Donoghue beside him, Chris performs a song that carried him through one of the darkest chapters of his life. This isn’t just music, it’s a story of survival, healing, and the power of art to hold us when words can’t. The performance embodies the very heart of Human Flourishing: the way creativity can reconnect us to ourselves, give language to pain, and spark collective hope.As the final notes hang in the air, the audience is reminded that flourishing isn’t about perfection or control; it’s about finding light in the spaces where we once thought there was none. - 6:36Are you really okay? | Rose Baniya | TEDxTarneit YouthEvery child is human, and that means every child has emotions. Sometimes, kids are going through silent battles, feeling hurt, scared, or sad; but no one can see it. In this talk, I want to ask a simple question: Are you really okay? As children, we have the power to speak up, not just for ourselves, but for others too. We can help save children from these endless bits of devastation by being kind, listening, and standing up for what’s right. Together, we can make the world a safer and more caring place for every child. Rose is a student at Barayip Primary School.
