É Gerente Médico do Laboratório de Genética Molecular do Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein e fundador da NeoGenomica, laboratório de alta complexidade dedicado ao sequenciamento completo do genoma para diagnóstico, prevenção e tratamento. É idealizador e coordenador do Projeto Genomas Raros, o maior estudo brasileiro em genômica de doenças raras.
