In this visionary and deeply personal Talk, Daisy explores the dynamics that silence innovation on the continent - from colonial mindsets to resource availability - and calls for a radical shift in how we create space for young Africans in STEM. With stories of hope, resilience, and ingenuity, Daisy’s talk is a rallying cry to invest in Africa’s most untapped resource: its young thinkers, builders, and dreamers. Because the future doesn’t need saving - it needs creating. Daisy Katongo is deeply passionate about and committed to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Daisy is a published author, a 2023 ISAZ STEM Fair award winner, a Beacon Scholar, and the founder of an initiative known as 'KatWish'. In 2024, she was selected to participate in TechGirls, an international summer programme. Today, she is a member of the TechGirls Alumnae Advisory Council.
