Through voice, body, and poetry, Sergio Beercock explores the deeper meaning of identity. Using a loop machine, the Anglo-Sicilian artist offers a visceral reflection on what it means to feel part of something—even when you don’t feel you belong. Sergio Beercock is an Anglo-Sicilian performer, singer-songwriter, poet, and theater artist. With two critically acclaimed solo albums (Wollow, Human Rites) and collaborations with names like Giovanni Sollima and Emma Dante, his work spans music, ritual, and embodied performance. His practice blends voice, body, and storytelling in experimental formats that have reached festivals like Santarcangelo, Romaeuropa, and the Cannes Film Festival. He’s also the author of the poetry collection vocecorporito and an active collaborator in European multidisciplinary projects. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
