Born at the wrong part of Germany, the GDR, were everyone was raised with the same simple iron spoon, where farmers & workers tried 40 years to implement a socialism system and failed the moment the Berlin wall broke. Swallowing the bitter taste of the dark years after the German reunion and not giving up under a continue disruption with countless new hurdles to be climbed to achieve his professional degree.
After stepping into the window industry he could finally feel the brightness of the German reunion with all its chances and opportunities.
While opening always the most difficult doors on his way, his journey finally got him 2006 to India where this past 16 years of work experience in Germany just felt like an internship program compared with all the challenges & opportunities on his new journey ..... Dr. H.C Schmidt is a trailblazer in the fenestration industry with more than 30 years experience of leadership and innovation. At just 21 , he entered the industry and quickly rose to prominence, becoming the youngest General Manager in Saxony, Germany. Today, he is the Founder Member and long-standing President of UWDMA, the uPVC Window & Door Manufacturers Association. For 19 years, he has led Lingel Windows in India, pioneering groundbreaking products that have redefined the industry. Honored with numerous awards, Dr. Schmidt works closely with Indian bodies BIS, BEE, MSDE and German bodies GIZ, DEG — shaping standards, inspiring progress, and advancing modern living. A fine orator, he is frequently invited to leading forums to speak on management, skills, and industry trends.
