General Hospital, Chennai, he has dedicated his career to both practicing and teaching cardiology.Dr. Chockalingam is a recipient of prestigious Gold Medals in Medicine and Cardiology, ranking first at the state level, and was the first to graduate as DM in Cardiology from Madras Medical College. He has published and presented more than 100 scientific papers at national and international cardiology conferences and has authored several influential books, including Idhayam Kakka, Humor & Health, and Cardiac X-rays, which is published internationally by Elsevier USA.A passionate advocate for heart disease prevention, he believes that lifestyle changes can effectively prevent and even cure heart attacks, the world's leading cause of death.
