AI lijkt vaak iets voor grote bedrijven of techneuten. Maar wat als juist maatschappelijke initiatieven hier de vruchten van kunnen plukken? In zijn talk laat Michiel van Teeffelen (Spectrum & Leefbaarheidsalliantie) zien hoe AI in de praktijk kan helpen: van jongeren die met ChatGPT leren hoe ze een concert organiseren, tot buurtinitiatieven die dankzij AI sneller tot een concreet plan of subsidieaanvraag komen. Zijn boodschap: AI is geen toverstok, maar wie het slim leert toepassen, ontdekt een superkracht. Zo hebben we meer tijd om te focussen op dat wat echt belangrijk is, namelijk impact maken, verbinding en écht mens zijn. Michiel van Teeffelen is adviseur maatschappelijke vraagstukken bij Spectrum, partner van de Leefbaarheidsalliantie Gelderland. Hij begeleidt maatschappelijke initiatieven en jongeren bij het ontwikkelen van activiteiten en projecten die bijdragen aan leefbaarheid en verbinding. Vanuit een sterke drive voor jongerenparticipatie en samenwerking zoekt hij steeds naar nieuwe manieren om mensen en ideeën verder te brengen. De afgelopen jaren verdiepte hij zich in kunstmatige intelligentie en experimenteert hij met ChatGPT en custom GPT’s om maatschappelijke initiatieven praktisch te ondersteunen. Zijn missie: AI toegankelijk maken, zodat het juist de kracht van lokale initiatiefnemers vergroot en hen helpt meer tijd over te houden voor wat er echt toe doet. In "The Age of AI and the New Meaning of Wealth," I explore how artificial intelligence is transforming our understanding of wealth. In this talk, I raise the question: In an age of AI, what will wealth even mean? I trace the evolution of wealth from tangible assets like land and gold to the mechanical era of factories and the digital age of platforms. Now, we are entering the Intelligent era, where wealth is generated by systems that learn and adapt on our behalf.I identify three forces shaping this new landscape: the speed of compounding decisions, the democratization of sophistication, and the emerging value beyond capital. These forces highlight how AI can make wealth more accessible but also poses risks of inequality and bias. I propose three guiding principles—the Three A’s: Access, Agency, and Alignment—to ensure that AI benefits society as a whole.Ultimately, I argue that wealth in the AI era could become more inclusive and human-centered, but it requires a conscious effort to define it. The choice is ours, and the time to shape this future is now.
