- 9:13The spark of Hawy | Yassin Mohammed, Abdullah Oweis & Alex Avakian | TEDxYouth@BedayiaSchoolThis talk tells the inspiring story of three young friends—Abdallah, Yassin, and Alex—who turned a spontaneous idea into a successful local fashion brand. It highlights their journey from casual conversations to appearing on Shark Tank, emphasizing teamwork, individual strengths, and learning through real-world experience. The message encourages young people to take initiative, trust their team, and start small, proving that with collaboration and persistence, big dreams can become reality. We are just three kids who had a dream and chased it. Each one of us is good at a thing or two, but never good enough to start a brand like Hawy by himself. That's what pushed us to rely on each other, and work as a team to be able to achieve our dream. And as they say, "teamwork makes the dream work.”We are just three kids who had a dream and chased it. - 20:36Ce se întâmplă când rebelul face regulile? | Georgiana Dragomir | TEDxCopouGeorgiana Dragomir spoke at TEDx Copou about what happens when a rebel starts writing the rules. Eight years ago, she first stepped onto a TEDx stage as the newly appointed MD of Grapefruit, sharing the courage it takes to be different—and how that inner rebel carried her all the way to MIT.This time, she delivered a more mature, mindful, and intentional perspective. Over the years she discovered that what once looked like rebellion was, in fact, authenticity—the red thread guiding her professional and personal path. Her talk was about contrasts that don’t cancel each other out, but complete one another: how you can be chaotic and strategic, vulnerable and a leader, tired yet purposeful. A rebellious spirit since childhood, Georgiana Dragomir has turned nonconformity into a life and business strategy. She took over a digital marketing agency during a difficult time and not only stabilized it, but transformed it into a solid business that successfully navigated the pandemic and earned recognition in the digital market. She was named CEO of the Year at the International Business Brilliance Awards in the UK and recently fulfilled one of her biggest childhood dreams – becoming the owner of a brasserie. For Georgiana, challenges are fertile ground for bold ideas — because where others see limits, she sees new beginnings. At TEDx Copou, she will speak about “the contrasts that build us – from rebellion to clarity in 8 years.” This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. - 12:09Do not fear! - part 2 | Andrei Dănilă | TEDxCopouAndrei Dănilă chose an unexpected vantage point for his TEDx Copou talk: that of a rally-raid motorcycle pilot. Although he is an entrepreneur with several ventures, an IT professional and well-versed in AI, Andrei built his speech around the passion that shapes his life—extreme desert racing, particularly the Malle Moto class, the toughest and most solitary form of two-wheeled competition. He described what it means to cover thousands of kilometres across the desert with no GPS, no support team, relying only on personal resourcefulness and the occasional help of fellow riders. From these experiences he distilled three core lessons: Focus! Reset your trust factor. Do not fear! Those lessons reach far beyond motorsport—they apply to business, relationships and personal growth. Andrei’s talk wasn’t merely an adrenaline story; it was a sincere invitation to reflect: What keeps us moving forward when no one else can help? He found his answer between the desert sands and life’s obstacles, and shared it candidly at TEDx Copou. This local company develops software in various fields for clients around the world. From biometrics to video streaming platforms, Andrei dared to try some of the most daring projects, together with the team he created around him. Andrei's dream is to do everything in his power to change the planet into a better place for future generations. How does he want to do this? Together with people – after 20 years of experience in management, Andrei is absolutely convinced that great things are done through cooperation, not competition. Hence his involvement and the company he leads in local, collaborative projects with a long-term vision. Fear is the emotion that Andrei does not let take over at any moment, and the development of this skill is accelerated by his passion for enduro and motorcycle rallies.
