How to give up | Hayder Shkara | TEDxUniversity of Sydney

We are taught never to quit, but what if quitting is the smartest move you make? Hayder Shkara shares how walking away from an Olympic dream in taekwondo opened the door to building highly successful law firms, revealing how letting go can save years of opportunity cost and lead us toward what we truly want. Hayder Shkara is the founder of the Justice Network, Australia’s fastest-growing network of law firms. Before law, Hayder represented Australia at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in taekwondo — an experience that shaped his leadership, discipline, and drive. Today, he channels that same mindset into growing law firms that combine excellence with genuine client care. Beyond his legal work, Hayder is passionate about social justice, and innovation within the legal sector. He regularly contributes commentary to national media on legal reform, family law issues, and the changing landscape of the legal industry. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
