Hydrogen: tomorrow's energy in Moselle? | Jacques Pironon & Philippe de Donato | TEDxRivesdeMoselle

Their unexpected discovery could play a key role in the development of a clean, sustainable hydrogen economy. Natural hydrogen is a rapidly renewable resource of dissolved gas that requires no water extraction. The work of these two researchers opens up promising prospects for a realistic and sustainable energy transition. Jacques Pironon is a renowned geologist specializing in the study of underground energy resources. Emeritus research director at the CNRS, he has led projects aimed at understanding the formation of uranium, oil and gas deposits, while working to reduce CO₂ emissions.Philippe de Donato is a physical chemist specializing in the study of continental interfaces. Director of research at the CNRS, his work led, by serendipity, to the discovery of potential dissolved hydrogen resources in the Lorraine subsoil. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
