Why Hidden Parts maybe Our Greatest Power | Aleesha Bain | TEDxKodaikanal International School Youth
We are taught to silence parts of ourselves in order to appear acceptable, but research in psychology shows that this self-suppression reshapes the brain, elevates stress, and narrows potential. In this talk, I reveal why the hidden side of identity is not a weakness to conceal, but rather is evidence of untapped strength, and why embracing it may be the key to real growth. Aleesha Jay Bain is a 17-year-old senior at Kodaikanal International School and Co-Founder of the Synapse Society, a student-led psychology club at school. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, she is passionate about creating opportunities for young people to exchange ideas and make an impact. Alongside her academic and leadership pursuits, Aleesha is dedicated to equestrian sports and ice skating, which reflect her discipline, balance, and love for challenge. - 21:17Half-Charged Living: Surviving on Low Battery | dr. Nicho Saputra Nugraha | TEDxTSMThese days, most of us are just trying to survive assignments, organization stuff, part time jobs, and everyone’s expectations. In the middle of all that, we kind of forget that our bodies have limits too. This talk’s basically a reminder that physical health matters just as much as our to do lists. Getting enough sleep, eating decent food, and actually listening to what our body needs shouldn’t be treated like some kind of bonus we only get if we're "productive enough". Cause if we keep pushing ourselves on low battery, we’re not just tired, we’re stuck. The point is rest isn’t being lazy, it’s what keeps us going. Dr. Nicho Saputra Nugraha is a young medical doctor and multimedia communicator who bridges the worlds of health science and digital storytelling. Graduating from Universitas Sriwijaya as one of its fastest students, he served in community health centers before stepping into media as the host of Dokter Traveler on national TV and creating content that makes medical knowledge accessible and engaging. Nicho inspires youth by showing that rigorous education and creative expression can work hand in hand to promote a healthier society.
