Blending Yesterday with Tomorrow | Ankita Kadival | TEDxGarth Webb School

This speech talks about how innovation in the modern world has been influenced by wise old practices. To learn what might work or succeed in the future, one has to look back at what worked and why it worked in the past. Tracing back is like a manual that answers a bunch of questions with respect to its timeline. Knowing our roots, understanding the purpose behind each practice can reveal answers we often overlook. Innovation can make one’s life easier just by rethinking the idea, and finding a solution that fits for this new world. One can only succeed in innovating for the future when they learn from the mistakes in the past and turn them into stepping stones. Being ‘modern’ doesn’t mean leaving your culture behind, but it means finding new ways to let old wisdom and new ideas coexist peacefully.
