Many young people fear death—but few are ever taught how to face it. In this talk, the speaker explores how silence and avoidance shape our experiences with grief. Drawing from personal loss and her research on teen mental health, she proposes a creative solution: a game that transforms grief into remembrance. Designed with the help of AI, her project invites players to reflect, remember, and say farewell with love—turning the pixel world into a place of healing. Jane is a student from Shanghai, China, who enjoys working with numbers, logic, and structured thinking. She won a gold award in Math League and has achieved outstanding results in IGCSE Mathematics ahead of schedule. Beyond equations, she applies her analytical mindset to explore complex emotional topics—such as teen grief and mental health. Through two months of psychological research and regular participation in youth psychology salons, Jane began reimagining how we talk about death. In her TED Talk, she combines logic and empathy to design a game that helps young people face loss—and remember with love.
