Signing My Contract to Live | Wen Bao | TEDxUniversity of Sydney

Scars do not symbolise weakness, they prove you survived a battle. Wen Bao shares a deeply personal journey through depression, revealing how confronting mental health struggles became a source of resilience, hope, and a renewed commitment to life. Wen Bao is a pre-service teacher who has discovered that she has a strong passion for teaching and learning. Her own journey hasn't been easy as she has been through many distressing and uncomfortable situations where she has had to confront her own demons. However, in her long-lasting battle she has found her voice and discovered that she is more courageous and resilient than she ever imagined. She aims to share her own story and experiences to assure others that they are not alone in their battles and that recovery is a journey worth beginning. This is her point of no return that she would like to share with others. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
