From Learner To Leader | Khushi Khurana | TEDxJeffersonU

As a teenager once intimidated by coding, Khushi Khurana now teaches over 100 kids how to program. In this inspiring TEDx talk, she shows the power of peer-led learning and how “for kids, by kids” programs can close the gender gap in technology. Her journey proves that coding can be fun, empowering, and transformative. Khushi Khurana, a freshman at Moorestown High School, is passionate about science, technology, and community service. She has led three coding camps for 50 underserved kids, presented award-winning research at major science fairs, and spoke at SIGCSE 2025. A dedicated coxswain, she raced at Youth Nationals and Head of the Charles. Khushi also volunteers at HindiUSA and plays piano at Carnegie Hall. She hopes to inspire girls in tech while pursuing science and rowing in college. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
