Loud | Katherine Hudson | TEDxUniversity of Sydney

What happens when being yourself is not quiet, but collective and unapologetic? Katherine Hudson explores the power of the Wear It Purple movement, showing how solidarity, community, and living at full volume create change that no one voice could achieve alone. Katherine Hudson is a culture change specialist, researcher, and activist dedicated to inclusion and social impact. As a high school student, she co-founded Wear It Purple, now a national movement supporting LGBTIQA+ youth. She has since led cultural transformation projects across sectors including government, banking, and manufacturing. Currently completing a PhD at the University of Technology Sydney, Katherine researches trade unions’ responses to technology change. A TEDxYouth speaker and award-winning advocate, she has been recognised for her leadership in diversity and community building. Katherine combines rigour, empathy, and creativity to drive collective action. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
