Boundaries to Breakthrough-journey of Resilience | Vama Gaur | TEDxSAJS Lucknow Youth

In a powerful and deeply personal talk, Vama shares her journey of resilience, self-motivation, and fearless transformation — from serving in the armed forces to thriving in the corporate world, and finally, leaping into entrepreneurship. She opens up about stepping out of her comfort zone, confronting her fears, and choosing independence over security to build a career and life on her own terms. In just five years, she turned her vision into a successful startup — a journey that redefined her confidence and taught her what it truly means to build something from scratch. An alumna of the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Vama Gaur is a retired Deputy Commandant of the Indian Coast Guard, where she specialized in Air Traffic Control under aviation cadre, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Her career in uniform was marked by discipline, resilience and leadership in high-pressure environments.Beyond the Armed Forces, Vama has carved a multi-faceted identity for herself. She is the author of three books, including her latest release Married So What?, a contemporary fiction exploring modern-day relationships. In 2018, she earned the title of Mrs. India Photogenic and also walked the ramp for the Mrs. India Queen of Substance Pageant, embracing versatility and self-expression. Currently, Vama is devoted to her work as a biography writer, helping people turn their life journeys into powerful books—because she believes that every story deserves a place in history. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
