In this talk, Tom Janssen-Groesbeek breaks down how AI systems like ChatGPT can be manipulated through carefully crafted prompts, revealing how language has become a powerful tool for both curiosity and exploitation. He invites the audience to become AI-smart, equipped not just to admire these tools but to explore and use them with curiosity, caution, and confidence. Tom Janssen-Groesbeek is pursuing a PhD in Large Language Model (LLM) security alongside his role as a Scientific Programmer at Radboud University’s Digital Security department. His research explores the security risks and defenses of AI systems, while his programming work bridges the gap between research and practice, supporting both scientific projects and teaching.
