How urban design dictates your way of life | Tommy Du | TEDxBISV Youth

Tommy examines society’s reliance on cars, exploring its causes, consequences, and how we can create more walkable, bikeable, and transit-friendly cities. Tommy Du is currently a junior at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley. Tommy has strong interests in entrepreneurship and economics and he is a member of the school’s DECA team. Tommy enjoys racket sports as he is both a member of the school’s competitive badminton team and the tennis club. Taking full advantage of the Bay Area’s diverse geographics, climates, and cultures, Tommy loves going to various places in the Bay Area and experiencing the unique atmosphere, food, and scenery each city and town has to offer. Believing in the power of ideas and innovations, Tommy aspires to make an impact in the world with people who have shared passions.
