Trânsfuga de Classe | Marieli Mallmann | TEDxBlumenau

A personal story, a collective reality. Marieli Mallmann, drawing from her own experience as a class fugitive — someone who has broken through social barriers but carries the marks of displacement — reflects on the impacts of education, public policies, and the feeling of not belonging across social classes. A powerful account of belonging, memory, and the power of words as a tool for social justice. Marieli Mallmann was born in Rio Grande do Sul, in 1995. Driven by curiosity, she studied Pharmacy and Fashion in college and is currently studying curatorship and literature in preparation for writing her first book. She is a digital communicator for a community of 180,000 people on Instagram and the host of the Podcast Simples, where she leads conversations about social life through the lens of design, exploring themes such as identity, memory, and human relationships. She spends her free time playing with the idea of turning silence into words. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
