What prevents people from flourishing at work? | Ali Khan | TEDxDoncaster

Professor Ali Khan explores the gap between struggling and flourishing. Drawing from science, statistics and evidence-based insights, he unpacks how actions and experiences at work, including autonomy, clarity, support, pressure and prospects, shape us, our thriving, and our performance in the modern workplace. A founder CEO who has experienced the rollercoaster of startup life.Ali is also a Visiting Professor, helping to build the UK’s (and possibly the world’s) first Flourishing Zone. I’m on the Leadership Council of the AI for Human Flourishing at Harvard University, researching and evangelising the impact of AI on humans, and vice versa.Alongside other roles, Ali is a Flourishing practitioner, having developed scientific models that help us understand and harness the actual manifestation of flourishing in the form of performance and productivity. He has been the CTO and Scientific Officer at AXA’s Well-being unit, among many things, measuring human and population longevity and mental health across multiple countries.
