- 21:40Yengecin Yüreği | Çağlar Demirkapı | TEDxAtaturkUniversity"Ben televizyoncu değilim, rol yapamam." Çağlar Demirkapı, hayatındaki dönüm noktalarını “mihenk taşları” olarak tanımlıyor. Ona göre, yaşadıklarımız birikir ve dönüp baktığımızda hepsi bizi şekillendiren işaretlere dönüşür.İlk mihenk taşlarından biri, Afrika’dan duyduğu bir atasözü: “Olgun insan, yengecin yüreğinin nerede olduğunu bilir.” Bu, doğru zamanda doğru noktayı bulabilmenin metaforuydu. Onun için suyu bulmak da yengecin yüreğini bulmak gibiydi.Üniversite yıllarında izlediği “We Are the World” görüntüleri aklına bir soru düşürdü: “Acaba ben de yapabilir miyim? – kendi ikigainizi bulabilirsiniz. Ve işte o zaman “mızrağı elinize alır, mavi yengeci vurursunuz.” Çağlar Demirkapı is an expert who conducts international studies in the field of environmental and water engineering. Born in Izmir, Demirkapı completed his undergraduate degree at Dokuz September University and his master's degree in environmental engineering at Florida Atlantic University.ağlar Demirkapı is an expert who conducts international studies in the field of environmental and water engineering. - 11:47Stop buying yourself | Seoyun J | TEDxYouth@NISCommercialization is making people materialistic: this materialism is making commercialization worse. Seoyun explores the commodification of...well...everthing. What’s really going on? What can we do about this? Video Editor: Sherlock Roberts Seoyun knew from the day she was born: her life’s purpose was to know things people didn’t care about and to be way too into underground bands that you will never have heard of. Her other hobbies include writing free verse poetry, watching films, and listening to said various-punk-subgenre bands. But she also cares about things people should care about, like the rise of commercialism, innate bias, and saving your soul from the rhetoric of late-stage capilatism.
