Unlocking Potential | NIDHI RANGA | TEDxShiva Shiksha Sadan Youth
Unlocking Potential: The Fire Within is a powerful exploration of what it truly means to realize your own strength. The talk challenges the idea that potential is something granted by others — it begins the moment you decide to silence doubt and turn criticism into fuel for growth. Through personal reflections and universal insights, it emphasizes that success isn’t about grand gestures, but about small, consistent choices that push you beyond comfort and resistance. The world may judge your worth by your position, but real power lies in trusting your own unconventional path. With stories of resilience and self-belief, the talk inspires audiences to redefine success through efficiency, awareness, and courage. Its message is simple yet profound — you don’t need everyone to see your light; you just need to keep it burning and let it illuminate the world around you. I am Nidhi Ranga, born and brought up in Sonipat district, Haryana. I completed my schooling at Shiva Shiksha Sadan School, where my academic journey was shaped by strong values and curiosity for learning. I went on to pursue B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics from Miranda House, University of Delhi, one of India’s premier institutions. In 2024, I successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination and was allocated the DANICS cadre. Alongside my administrative responsibilities, I am actively engaged with an NGO for social justice, where I work towards empowering underprivileged communities. I am also passionate about mentoring students, helping them identify their strengths, nurture self-belief, and unlock their full potential. My journey continues to be guided by the values of integrity, empathy, and service to society. - 10:51Bringing Back Music Lost for 2,500 Years | Tharun Sekar | TEDxElliots BeachWhat does music from 2,500 years ago sound like? Until recently, no one knew.Tarun Sekar, shares how a simple question "Why do we only see Western instruments , where are our own ancient Indian instruments ?"led him on an obsessive journey to resurrect the Yazh, an ancient Tamil harp lost to history for over two millennia. With no working instrument to study, no recordings to guide him, and only fragments of poetry from Sangam literature, Tarun spent a year piecing together clues from ancient texts. His curiosity refused to let him quit & he succeeded in bringing back a sound unlike any Guitar or Veena, a voice from India's forgotten musical past coming alive again. Tarun proves that small curiosities can unbury centuries of silence. His work challenges us to ask: What melodies & wisdom from our own heritage are we ignoring? Can Entrepreneurship be our way to explore our world & build what matters? Drawing on neuroscience and decades of experience, he introduces the CALM method—Center, Affirm, Lead, Meet—as a roadmap for connection instead of control. His message is clear: when adults choose calm over chaos, we don’t just change behavior—we transform lives. If you’d like to contact Dr. David A.
