The Next Big Thing in Design | Jaanvi Gandhi | TEDxVelammal Global School

This talk looks at the future of design from the lens of a student still learning and exploring the field. It reflects on how the “Next Big Thing” may not be a breakthrough technology, but the ability to create human experiences and build systems around them that can last. With curiosity and openness, it asks how design can grow into something more enduring, more connected, and more human. Jaanvi is a 21-year-old communication design student at the National Institute of Design (NID), Assam, an institution of national importance. Her global perspective was shaped early on as an 11-year-old junior ambassador to Japan for a 15-day peace convention involving 66 countries. She also holds an India Book of Records title for 8 hours of continuous drawing. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new cities and, more importantly, their menus. It's a life of both purpose and impeccable taste. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
