Meditation on building a plastic-free world | Vasser Seydel | TEDxGreatPacificGarbagePatch

NOTE FROM TED: This talk only represents the speaker's personal views and understanding of quantum physics, energy, and consciousness which lacks legitimate scientific support. We've flagged this talk because it falls outside the content guidelines TED gives TEDx organizers. Research around microplastics and human health remains an ongoing field of study. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelines.pdfPlastic is not just pollution; it is a mirror showing how disconnected we have become from the Earth, from each other, and from ourselves. That disconnection fuels both the polycrisis and the Plasticene age. In this TEDx talk, Vasser Seydel explains how transformation begins when we reconnect—with ourselves, community, and the quantum. As Nikola Tesla said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.” Vasser Seydel is the President of The Oxygen Project, a nonprofit dedicated to defending the life support systems that keep us breathing and advancing a regenerative, conscious, and climate-resilient future through bold campaigns, innovative education, and powerful storytelling. She serves on the boards of Mission Blue, founded by Dr. Sylvia Earle, the National Center for Family Philanthropy, and the Turner Foundation. Vasser is an Arctic Angel for Global Choices and an advisory board member for One Earth. Recently, Vasser was named one of Inside Philanthropy’s most powerful people in philanthropy under 40. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
