The Making of MTC: A Story of How I Built a National Movement | Ali Khani | TEDxArdenwood Youth
Ali Khani shares the story behind founding the Muslim Tech Collaborative, now North America’s largest Muslim tech ecosystem. From navigating identity to building community, he reveals how faith, innovation, and purpose came together to spark a national movement. His journey is a testament to the power of connection—and the impact young leaders can make when they bridge worlds and build for something greater than themselves. Ali Khani is the founder of the Muslim Tech Collaborative (MTC), North America's largest Muslim tech ecosystem with 30+ chapters serving 2000+ students, founders, and professionals across the US and Canada. A recent UC Berkeley computer science graduate from the Bay Area, Ali is passionate about building bridges across various communities — as a lead organizer of Muslim Tech Fest SF, track chair for OPEN Silicon Valley's Annual Forum, co-president of Cal's Muslim alumni network, co-founder of networking tool Bloom (withbloom.app), and continuing to connect top tech talent globally through MTC. - 12:01What does 'CEO' mean in the age of AI? | Rohan Arya Gondi | TEDxOakridgeGachibowliFrom leading India’s junior squash rankings to running complex simulations at Yale, Rohan Gondi has lived in two worlds: the discipline of sport and the unpredictability of science. In this talk, he reflects on the Paradox of Plenty—how abundance of choices, opportunities, and even information can overwhelm us, whether on the squash court, in a lab experiment, or in everyday decisions shaped by AI. Blending personal experience with insights from systems thinking and research, he explores how to stay focused, resilient, and authentic when faced with too much of everything. An Oakridge alumnus (CBSE 2024) and national-level squash champion, Rohan Gondi achieved a No.1 national ranking in the under-19 category.
