The Ripple Effect | Pulagum Vinesh Reddy | TEDxVelammal Global School

In this impactful talk, Vinesh highlights that climate change is not driven solely by governments and corporations, but also by the everyday choices of individuals. He demonstrates how simple decisions in how we consume, travel, and manage waste hold powerful consequences for the planet’s future. With small yet consistent lifestyle changes, Vinesh shows how each of us can contribute to meaningful progress - not just for humanity, but for every living being that shares our Earth. Vinesh is a Grade 12 student with a strong passion for shedding light on overlooked societal topics and engaging in meaningful conversations. Known for his competitive spirit, he thrives in both academic and extracurricular settings. Vinesh is particularly enthusiastic about sports, especially football and cricket, and is deeply intrigued by the fields of mathematics and science - constantly seeking to understand how the world around us functions. In addition to his academic and athletic interests, Vinesh has demonstrated leadership as his school’s former Head Boy, where he gained valuable experience in supporting and guiding others. He believes that we as humans have a tendency to overuse the resources we have available and would love to share his ideas and opinions on how change starts from small changes in your lifestyle. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
